Medjugorje: Our Lady's message to Marija of January 25, 2017

"Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray for peace: peace in human hearts, peace in the families and peace in the world. Satan is strong and wants to turn all of you against God, and to return you to everything that is human, and to destroy in the heart all feelings towards God and the things of God. You, little children, pray and fight against materialism, modernism and egoism, which the world offers to you. Little children, you decide for holiness and I, with my Son Jesus, intercede for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Jesus came for sinners

"I have come to call sinners, not the self-righteous." -Mark 2:17

Jesus came for sinners, that all might have the opportunity to repent, believe in Him, be saved, and have life to the full, both now and for eternity. Pope Francis has said that the Eucharist is not a prize for the perfect but a medicine for sinners.

"For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but One Who was tempted in every way that we are, yet never sinned" (Heb 4:15). "Since He was Himself tested through what He suffered, He is able to help those who are tempted" (Heb 2:18). Jesus revealed that God desires mercy rather than sacrifice, as good as sacrifice is (Mt 9:13).

Additionally, to aid us in refraining from sin, God gave us His Word. We can keep His Word in our heart, to keep us from sinning (Ps 119:11). God has also given us the Church, which is a hospital for sinners. The Sacrament of Confession is God's open-heart surgery unit to remove our sins, bring us healing, and grace us to avoid sin. Jesus even promises us that He forgives our sins and remembers them no longer (see Ps 103:11-12; Jer 31:34).

What a wonderful gift we have in the Church! How incredibly blessed we are! Some pay many thousands of dollars to be treated for their illnesses at a hospital. God has established this hospital of the Church at no cost (see Is 55:1). Repent of staying away from the Church. Come into the Church. Repent and be healed.

Father, draw our loved ones who have fallen away from You back home to Your Church. Use me in any way You choose to love them back to You.

"The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true, all of them just." -Ps 19:10

Spiritual vocations as a fruit of Međugorje

Fr. Gonzalo Moreno and Fr. Carlos Ballbé: Spiritual vocations as a fruit of Međugorje

date: 11.01.2017.
Future priests, Fr. Gonzalo Moreno and Fr. Carlos Ballbé from Spain were our guests at radio Mir Medjugorje. As they told us, their vocations are a fruit of Medjugorje.
Fr. Gonzalo heard about Medjugorje for the first time in 2005, when John Paul II died.: „I worked for one newspaper in Madrid, and news came to us that one of Medjugorje visionaries saw John Paul II during his apparition. The Director of newspapers was very interested for this information and they even sent a journalist to Medjugorje, as more and more people were interested in this. I was supposed to follow him. My opinion on Medjugorje was very negative, I did not believe and I was against this. Back in Madrid, we interviewed a few people and they told us strange things about Medjugorje.
However, when I came here, everything was changed. I was able to see how people live faith, sacraments and there was huge devotion towards Gospa. Thanks to Medjugorje and spirituality, I can continue to grow in my relationship towards God, in my relation towards the Church, as Her son, and towards Our Lady, my Heavenly Mother. The fruit of Medjugorje is to get to know God fully. People in Medjugorje have real experience of God, it is not a theory for them. I came here twenty times since 2006. When I returned home after my first visit, nobody believed in what I was sharing about this place. They did not even believe when I entered priesthood. They had many reasons not to believe, as my previous life was not good. I was also involved in drugs. I understand why people did not believe, but now they do, as I am really a miracle of Our Lady. I encourage all to come here in Medjugorje.”
Fr. Carlos came to Medjugorje in 2005, for the first time. „First od all, I would like to say that my life was fully changed, as this is the place where I received my calling and I also had the experience of God’s vicinity. My whole family was changed thanks to Medjugorje. I believed in the apparitions from the first moment. My calling is the first fruit of Medjugorje, as I never thought of becoming a priest. This is where I learned how to pray with the heart with Our Lady. I studied to become a journalist and wanted to become a war reporter and I also trained field hockey. This is the sport I was engaged with ever since I was five. But, when I came back here two years ago, a major change took place in my life. To come back here means to come back to the roots, to the place where it all began, to take some fresh air and to breath.”

Medjujorje: A Reflection

September 2, 2015 "Dear children, my dear apostles of love, my carriers of truth, again I am calling you and gathering you around me to help me, to help all of my children who thirst for love and truth - who thirst for my Son. I am a grace from the Heavenly Father, sent to help you to live the word of my Son. Love one another.

I lived your earthly life. I know that it is not always easy, but if you will love each other, you will pray with the heart, you will reach spiritual heights and the way to heaven will be opened for you. I, your mother, am waiting for you there because I am there.

Be faithful to my Son and teach others faithfulness. I am with you. I will help you. I will teach you faith that you may know how to transmit it to others in the right way. I will teach you truth that you may know how to discern. I will teach you love that you may come to know what real love is. My children, my Son will make it so as to speak through your words and your actions. Thank you."

Spirit of Medjugorje

Featured article from January's Spirit of Medjugorje
Safely into the Blessed Mother's Arms
By Patrick Kelker
On pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 2001, I was approached by an Irish woman who told me she had a word from God for me, "Your wife is going to die, but God is going to take care of you."
We then both walked towards St. James Church, without speaking any more to each other. We came to the rear of the Church. I went to the left and she went to the right. I looked over her way again, and she was gone. My first thought was that I must have been entertained by an angel. My next thought was of my wife back home, who, when I left her, was in perfect health. I kept this unusual experience to myself and continued with my pilgrimage.
Upon arrival at home, as I was crossing the threshold of our house, my wife, Jane, crumpled to the floor, holding her back, obviously in great pain. She had to have emergency surgery to remove her gall bladder.
From that date on, Jane kept getting sick, for no apparent reason. She was feeling really rundown and had swollen lymph nodes. At that point, the doctor decided to biopsy one of the nodes. She was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia, a slow moving leukemia. Several doctors agreed, "We will just keep our eye on this until we need to treat it."

Four years later, in 2005, Jane underwent her first round of chemotherapy to treat her disease. She united her suffering to Christ's suffering, and offered it up in union with His. Her suffering produced great fruit. Jane prayed for couples who were unable to conceive a child but were praying to have children. Throughout the years, and during her many rounds of chemotherapy, many babies were born to couples who were having trouble conceiving.
I always believed that Jane's birthday, on December 28, the Catholic Church's Feast day of the Holy Innocents, was very appropriate. Jane loved children and had been a stayat- home-mother for most of her life. The neighborhood children all called her "Aunt Jane," and they loved to be with her.

I asked Jane many times to go with me to Medjugorje, and she always refused. Finally, in 2008, she agreed to go and experience what I had been talking to her about for years. My wife was a convert to the Catholic faith. Praying to Mary was difficult for her and made her feel uncomfortable.

After arriving in Medjugorje, I took Jane to the tomb of Fr. Slavko Barbaric. I told her to ask Fr. Slavko to intercede for her in obtaining what she was hoping to get from this pilgrimage. Jane heard that Vicka prayed over sick pilgrims so this is what she asked for. She had been on her knees before Father's tomb, and as she got up, she said, "I want Vicka to pray over me, and I also prayed that Father Jozo will bless our marriage." My heart sank. I knew both of these requests were probably not going to happen. Imagine my surprise when we walked by Vicka's old house that same day. Vicka was on her patio area with a small group of pilgrims. I told Jane to go and ask her for a blessing. When Jane reached the patio, Vicka turned and was heading up the stairs to enter the house. Jane said to me, "It must not have been God's Will for me to get a blessing." Immediately, Vicka turned around and came back down the stairs. Then she motioned Jane to come to her. She prayed over Jane for a long time, then picked her up off her knees and kissed her on the cheek.

Jane, herself, had been praying for a healing during Vicka's prayers over her. When she got up, she came right over to me and said, "There are many ways of being healed." Then she told me that when Vicka prayed over her, an energy went through her body that she couldn't explain. She said she liked to think it was the Love of God. Jane knew, from that moment on, that she would not be healed. She began trying to live life to the fullest.

When we went to hear Father Jozo speak, we couldn't even get near him because of the crowd of Italians. Fr. Jozo asked the crowd to go to the many priests available and get blessings from them. We did that, receiving a blessing from an elderly priest. Imagine our surprise, then, when we turned around and there stood Father Jozo. He immediately blessed us, together, on our foreheads. For both of us, it felt like a hot poker going through our head. What a wonderful blessing that was!

Upon arriving home from our pilgrimage, Jane began praying the Rosary daily. (She prayed it daily until she died.) She now found great comfort in the Blessed Mother. She remarked about those wonderful words of the Hail Mary: "Now, and at the hour of our death." She said she knew the Blessed Mother would be there for her at that time.
The leukemia finally took its toll. In May of 2013, Jane's left arm became paralyzed. It was about two weeks before her death. In addition, her whole body was badly bruised. Two days before she died, she lay with her arms crossed on her stomach. My two daughters and I stood at her bedside and kept vigil.

Shortly before Jane died, Christa, our eldest daughter, said she heard hundreds of voices speaking different languages, coming from afar and getting closer and closer to Jane. Sara and I did not hear these voices. Christa said the voices eventually ended up next to her mother. Jane opened her eyes for a second, looking above and beyond us at the foot of the bed. Then she closed her eyes. And slowly, very slowly, she opened her arms to a full embrace, then again very slowly, closed them – as slowly as they had opened. Her left arm had not moved for the prior two weeks of her life before she died. Her eyes opened for a brief second again, looking over our shoulders, and then closed. Again, her arms extended slowly into a full embrace, then closed, just as Jane released her last breath.
The whole room exploded into the scent of roses. The bruises on Jane's body disappeared within 20 seconds, and her body resembled that of a 30 year-old! She was 58.

I believe Jane is still interceding for couples who want children. One of Christa's friends became pregnant after saying a prayer to Jane at the funeral home, for her intercession.
Jane has died, but the words I heard back on that pilgrimage in 2001, continue to come back to me: "God is going to take care of you." Thanks be to God.

Editor's note: Patrick is from Fort Wayne, IN. When I spoke with him on the phone, he said that he wished everyone in the world could have been in Jane's room when she died. He said it was so phenomenal that there would be no unbelievers. He also said that he feels Jane's intercession for couples who want children is powerful, and that one couple, who tried for nine years to have a child, had twins! He gave me three of her holy cards from the funeral to share.

Saint Andre Bessette the Miracle Man

Brother André was beatified by Pope John Paul II on May 23rd, 1982, and declared for sainthood by Pope Benedict XVI on February 19, 2010.
At his canonization in October 2010, Pope Benedict XVI said that St. Andre "lived the beatitude of the pure of heart."

Miracle Man
Often while running errands around town Brother André would stop to visit with those he heard were sick. When many with whom he prayed soon recovered, word of his healing abilities began to spread far and wide. Soon the sick began to arrive in great numbers at the College where Brother André would meet them in his small office near the front door. However, as the numbers multiplied, his superiors, as well as the parents of the children attending the school, began to have great concern. After all, many of those seeking cures had contagious diseases that presented a health threat to the school’s student-body.

As a compromise, Brother André was allowed to meet the sick in a small tramway station across the street. Here the frail brother would spend as many as six to eight hours a day receiving those who came to seek his healing prayers.

Though he was becoming quite renowned as a miracle worker, Brother André vehemently rejected such a title, stating: “I am nothing…only a tool in the hands of Providence, a lowly instrument at the service of Saint Joseph.” He stated further: “People are silly to think that I can accomplish miracles! It is God and Saint Joseph who can heal you, not I. I will pray to Saint Joseph for you.”

Brother André presented the sick with a medal of Saint Joseph and would also anoint the sick with oil that came from an oil-lamp burning in the College’s chapel next to a statue of Saint Joseph. Again, in anointing the sick, Brother André would insist that the hoped-for healing was the work of Saint Joseph and not himself.

Kellyanne Conway: Feminism's Nightmare
New from RTV

As President-elect Donald Trump's campaign manager, Mrs. Kellyanne Conway helped pull off one of the most stunning political victories in U.S. history. So, why do the feminists hate her? Why isn't she being praised as a feminist icon by CNN or the gals from The View? Could it be because Kellyanne Conway is outspokenly pro-life?

And h
ere's another hopeful sign:  President Donald Trump's top advisor will be an Irish-American, happily married Catholic mother of four who makes breakfast every morning for her kids and then goes to Mass. She's a daily communicant!

And there's more: Kellyanne Conway reportedly took Donald Trump to meet Father George Rutler, the Anglican convert priest and pastor of the Church of St. Michael in Mahattan, who blessed the future president just days before his election.

Who knows how this is all going to play out but, for the moment, it's nice to know that a faithful Catholic is to become chief advisor to the next President of the United States. May God help her remain true to the promises of her baptism as she takes on this crucial position.

The God Factor

Rev. Graham: Media Miss 'Huge' Factor in Trump Win, 'The God Factor'

By Michael W. Chapman | January 3, 2017 | 1:37 PM EST

Rev. Franklin Graham.  (BGEA)
Commenting on how the liberal media and polls were totally wrong about Donald Trump -- for months and going into Election Day -- Reverend Franklin Graham said they "have offered an infinite variety of reasons for why" Trump won and Clinton lost, but missed the most important element: "The God Factor." He also stressed that Christian Americans must not let down their guard and must continue to pray for this nation that is in "rebellion against God and His ways."
"Were they ever wrong!" Rev. Graham said of the mainstream media and virtually every poll in his January 2017 commentary in Decision magazine, published by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Trump won 30 states and 306 electoral votes; Clinton won 232 electoral votes.
"The media have offered an infinite variety of reasons for why Donald Trump won and Hillary Clinton lost," said Rev. Graham, "but I believe there is one crucial component that played a huge part in the election process and eventual outcome.  I’ve called it 'the God factor.'"
(AP)
"The church of the Lord Jesus Christ—millions and millions of Christians—called out to Almighty God in prayer throughout the year, asked for His providential hand to restore and guide our nation, and engaged in the political process by flocking to rural and urban polling places to vote," said the reverend. "They also committed themselves to look at candidates running for office on every level—local, state and national—and to cast their vote for those who best represented Biblical values."
Given the election results, Graham said, "I believe the Lord has given us a window of opportunity for our nation to repent, turn away from our iniquities and turn back to Him." America must turn back to God, he emphasized because our problem is not a political or economic one -- it is a spiritual problem.

Medjugorje: Our Lady's Message of January 2, 2017 to Mirjana

Mirjana encounters Our Lady on January 2, 2017
(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

January 2, 2017
Our Lady's message through Mirjana Soldo of January 2nd, 2017:

Dear children, My Son was the source of love and light when he spoke on earth to the people of all peoples. My apostles, follow His light. This is not easy. You must be little. You must make yourselves smaller than others; with the help of faith to be filled with His love. Not a single person on earth can experience a miraculous experience without faith. I am with you. I am making myself known to you by these comings, by these words; I desire to witness to you my love and motherly care.

My children, do not waste time posing questions to which you never receive an answer. At the end of your journey on earth, the Heavenly Father will give them to you. Always know that God knows everything; God sees, God loves. My most beloved Son illuminates lives, dispels darkness; and my motherly love which carries me to you is inexpressible, mysterious but real.

I am expressing my feelings to you: love, understanding and motherly benevolence. Of you, my apostles, I am asking for your roses of prayer which need to be acts of love. To my motherly heart these are the dearest prayers. I offer these to my Son who was born for your sake. He looks at you and hears you. We are always close to you. This is the love which calls, unites, converts, encourages and fulfills. Therefore, my apostles, always love one another and above all, love my Son. This is the only way to salvation, to eternal life. This is my dearest prayer which fills my heart with the most beautiful scent of roses. Pray, always pray for your shepherds that they may have the strength to be the light of my Son. Thank you.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
